Jo Goodyear remembers delighting in the search for bilberries and blackberries as a child in rural Shropshire. Inspired by her outdoor childhood, Jo initially trained as an ecologist and worked in ecological research and botanical survey for over 15 years. During this time, she enjoyed discovering edible plants during survey work to liven up her lunch! Jo now practices as a medical herbalist in Cork city, having trained with Nikki Darrell. She leads foraging walks in Cork city and county and teaches plant identification. She is the botanical consultant to the IRH.
