My name is Anna Maria Keaveney and I have the pleasure of practicing since 2000 following my graduation from Middlesex University in London. Over the years I have treated a wide range of conditions but have always had a particular concentration of skin complaints including acne, eczema, etc.
My approach to practice has always been to bring together the best of traditional knowledge and modern research. My concern is not just what herb should be used for what condition but to consider the therapeutics required, the appropriate form of herb, what is the evidence base for my practice. These considerations have come out of my education and training, my work as a lecturer of herbal science and the research I have done over the last few years.
I am pleased to have this opportunity to discuss some of my practice case studies and my thinking on how these conditions should be approached.
